Light architecture for the small northern cities of Russia
Inspired by the rich historical and cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples of the North, we decided to integrate their cultural codes and traditions into a series of urban objects.
Our approach to design creation is focused on depth and search for authenticity. We strive to create a design that will emphasize the unique spirit of the city.

Idea and visual image
The compositional structure of the light structures is based on cultural elements and traditional ideas about the world of the Khanty and Mansi people. The semiotic symbols of the region reflect man's deep connections with nature, life amidst the cold silence and bright light of the polar day.

Colour palette
The rich color swirls of the northern lights are reflected in the palette of our project. These colors blend harmoniously with traditional ornaments and symbols, creating a holistic visual image filled with deep cultural associations and emotionality of the nature of the north.
To embody the idea of the iridescent natural colors of the Northern Lights, a specially developed RGB backlight control system is used. It allows you to change the light intensity, turn on and off individual groups of light bulbs, creating dynamic lighting scenarios.

Light arches
The light architecture serves as an important link between the modern city and the indigenous population, symbolizing respect and recognition of their unique contribution to the development of the region. By forming new points of attraction for citizens and tourists, it helps to create a recognizable brand of the area, emphasize its uniqueness and identity, while preserving the heritage of local peoples and stimulating the economic development of the territories.

Combinatorics
The developed light arches allow to create various combinations and scale solutions for the entire region.
The universal system of lighting modules allows you to quickly change light maps and decorate large areas in a single style, creating a stylistically unified architectural environment. This solution makes it possible to create various themed spaces without significant costs and refurbishment of existing structures.

The use of traditional symbols and motifs in the design of light objects helps to strengthen the bond of generations, preserve cultural values and create a sense of pride among the local population. For young residents, such projects become a kind of window into the history of their native land, helping to better understand and appreciate their belonging to a particular culture and community.

The project opens up promising areas for the development of northern cities, harmoniously combining the preservation of the traditions of the past with a commitment to the future.
